Hi sorry I’m late. If Laura wouldn’t of sent so much I wouldn’t of had to take so many pictures. Thank you for the wonderful package.
I hope she took pictures because mine didn’t turn out so great. I would of taken them outside but didn’t feel like showing off my jammies to the neighbors. My kids are always dressed and ready but me, that is a whole other story. lol So she sent me some great bags in all my favorite colors. I have a great big bag, a clutch, two small zipper purses, a bag with tons of small pockets in it, a knitting book, some circular knitting needles, and some wool ease yarn. Whew that was a mouthful! I think I got it all.

So I hope Laura has pictures because her are always awesome. Now to pictures of my visit to Hobby Lobby. Like I said yesterday I got some I Love This Yarn and a Boye set of thread hooks with removable heads. The funny thing about the hooks is that shortly after we got home I put my bag on a table and silly me forgot that I have a very curious and destructive baby. I was laying on my bed and she came and showed proudly to me that she found some crochet hooks and would I like them. Well lets just say I ran out of bed in an astonishing fast past for feeling so ill. It took me three days to recover all my hooks from around the house. Hubby suggested we could get a big magnet and search for them that way. But just like my kids lose things they also find things. It ended up being them just coming up to me and finding them. Poor kids I scared them to death scolding them for playing with Mommy’s toys. So whenever they found a hook I would ask them where they found it and they would promptly say Lydia did it. (which she did but they always had to make that clear.)

Also if you remember this tote I made from a booklet, Easy living with crochet, it is now a free pattern. I don’t know if it will always be free but I found out through Ravelry that it is right now. So heads up on that if you wanted that pattern. They also have tons more cool free patterns on the site. So for the tote it is here, you just click on the picture to get the pattern, and then there is crochet for every room and you just click for patterns. Bernat had a special with clutter control with crochet so check it out.

Alright I think I have caught back up. Ta Ta for now!

Hello, so sorry about the long absence I just got my internet back on. Dumb internet people! I also still feel cruddy so that also stinks but goes with the territory. Unfortunately not much crochet done but I did receive an AWESOME package from Laura for the April purse swap. I’m going to take pictures today. I would just take some quick pics but she did so much and such a great job that I need to give her bag’s the credit they deserve.
I didn’t get to make anything for Mother’s day unfortunately. My treat was that I got to go to a new Hobby Lobby store that just opened up. (boy was that store big!) I got some Boye thread hooks with removable heads and a skein of brown, I Love This Yarn. Which just petting I do love that yarn. My hubby was scared for his pocket book but that is all I got so good me.
So another update tonight with Laura’s beautiful bags and my treats. Just wanted you to know I was alive and look my baby finally has hands and feet. lol Talk to ya later!

Katrina got my package. She hasn’t been able to post pictures yet. This was for the purse swap over at the Swap Swap Gals for last month. I found this pattern for this bag over at Ravelry it is called Inga’s Haekelbeutel. She has it in both German and English. It might be a hard pattern for a beginner to read since it seems like a ruff translation but it was way easy to make. It also has a great picture of how to put it together. I used an F hook but people have also used D and E so they wouldn’t have to line it. I pretty much line every purse because to me it feels finished when I line it. I had a tough time finding a fabric to go with it that also had no flowers and frills since she prefers simple and understated. But I really like the fabric I found. I used Peaches and Cream cotton to make it. This is a neat and fun pattern and hope to make myself one soon.

I also made some little bags for her kidos. They are called treasure bags and you can whip them up in like 30 min. So a great stash buster there.

Unfortunately I didn’t get a pic of the whole package I kind of went shopping and then straight to the post office. But those are my crochet things in that package. As far as the pregnancy goes the morning sickness is kind of getting worse. I don’t understand how some people do it. I feel like my kids need so much attention while I moan and groan on the couch. They deserve a fun vacation once I feel better. Hopefully they are too young to remember how boring Mommy is during this time. lol Oh and don’t forget that Andrea’s auction is ending today. So make sure and take a look and help out if you can. Well tata will blog ya later!

Hello everyone. So I am going to tell you now. As you can see on the side of my blog that I have a new widget and yes we are expecting our fourth. That is one of the reasons I have been crazy sick. I get really bad morning sickness. This time has been very different since I have three kids at home. Pretty much our mornings are shot until I feel somewhat ok. Then it feels like I fight a battle everyday to keep up with housework and the kiddos. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. Well if your thinking did she plan this the answer is yes and no. Yes we wanted more kids, no I would of liked waiting a little bit longer. So I’m pregnant.
So crocheting has been down to Zero. Which is so hard. I’m lucky if I get to put a few stitches into a project. I will be able to share my purse I made for the purse swap over at Swap Swap gals once she gets it. I hope to be getting better and be somewhat back to normal. I will be keeping you guys up to date as my belly progresses. But now you can also watch what my husband says “watching the alien grow” on my blog. lol
Well alright I hope you all are doing well and will talk to ya later!

Hello everyone I’m back! I will tell you all next post what exactly is going on in my crazy life. But this post is all about Andrea’s Auction. I made a special Fat Bottom Bag just for this auction. You remember voting for your favorite fabric. Well this is what it went into.
This Fat Bottom Bag is made with both brown Red Heart and blue Lacette yarn. It is 9 inches deep and 13 inches wide. It has some beautiful bamboo handles and a very retro lining. You have the choice of what you would like to adore this purse with. There is two different shades of blue ribbons, a flower that I will make just for this bag, or just plain to adore however you like. It also has a magnet strap to keep it closed. This auction is just in time for Mother’s Day and this would make a great gift for you or someone you love. I enjoyed making this bag and hope you are able to help Andrea and her brother out.

Make sure and check out her blog at Knit and Knots. Talk to ya’ll later!

Hi! I just thought I would stop by real quick. Me and the kids are sick and I have not been getting anything done. (I’m lucky if I can put the dishes away.) So I’m hoping to feel better soon cause I’m halfway done with the bag for the auction. I hope you all will like it so I can help out Andrea. Alrighty I hope all is well in the blogging world and hopefully you will hear from me soon with a finished object!
April 17th, 2008
I have a question I just cannot solve for myself. I am making something for Andrea’s auction and cannot decide which fabric I like best. So I thought I would ask you all. (if anyone could share their opinion that would be awesome) Do you like
A :

or
B:

Also if neither, that is fine I can pull something else out of my hat.
Onto recently finished objects. I did finish my purse for the purse swap. I just need to line it. So I can’t show that yet but soon. Hmm… also my tote is coming along. It going is slow though. I was telling Laura that it seems like making things for myself go lots slower than things for other people, weird. So I will start the auction project as soon as I see what ya’lls feeling is about the fabric. See ya!

So I made yet some more Fat Bottom Bags for sister and sister in law birthday’s this month. I made one of them opposite of the yellow FBB I made earlier. I really do enjoy making these and think they work up really fast. Also wanted to say that I am making one for ME! Yeah I am pretty excited about it. So this week I am making myself a tote and a FBB. And of course they are going to be pink. Then it is back to finishing up the purse swap and some afghans. And before we know it mother’s day is sneaking up. I think I have some things in mind. Well hope you all are having a good Monday!

-Some cotton yarn.
-Some red heart yarn.

My pal over at the ville, HoosierDoula, got her packages! She was a great pal. I wanted so badly to spoil her rotten. She is an amazing women with an amazing family. I made something for her, her hubby, and all 6 of her kids. (remember all those amis) I greatly enjoyed making her package and was so excited for her to receive them! I like to show pictures since I love to see when everyone else get theirs. (you might of seen some of this stuff before)

I had to use two boxes. lol

Hmm… looks familar. Except at Walmart I found these charms that go on zippers. I got her an angel one. You can barley see it on the end of her zipper.

I dislike sending only a few skeins of yarn so I bought three pounders when they were on sale. (2 Lion Brand pounders, 1 Rainbow sensations, and sorry don’t remember what the orange yarn is. It was soft and I got it at Big lots.)

That little black tube is glow and the dark stick thingies for the kids.

Some pattern books. That brown one is where I got the tote pattern from.

Some flower trinkets. (A must have for any swap)

And of course I had to make her a hook holder to match her purse. A bamboo hook and little notions holder. And some nice scissors. (I also had to get me a pair they were pink and orange handles.) They are part of a series that has different designs. So her pair has flowers and it’s design’s name is Ashley. Thought that was fun.
Ok that is everything. Have a great day!
